FIRMAN Warranty Policy for Solar Products
1. Introduction At SUMEC FIRMAN, we are committed to providing high-quality solar products, including inverters, batteries, solar panels, and Commercial & Industrial energy storage system.
This warranty policy outlines the terms and conditions under which we offer warranty coverage to our valued customers. Our warranty is designed to ensure your satisfaction and peace of mind when using our products.
2. Warranty Coverage:
This warranty applies to the following products: - Inverters - Batteries - Solar Panels - Commercial & Industrial Energy Storage System
3. Warranty Period:
The warranty period for each product category is as follows: -
Inverters: 2 years from the date of purchase. (Not including the free accessories offered by FIRMAN like breakers or surge protectors)
Batteries: 6 years from the date of purchase for lithium batteries. (Not including the free accessories offered by FIRMAN like breakers or surge protectors)
Solar Panels: 12 years from the date of purchase for manufacturing defects.
Commercial & Industrial Energy Storage System: 5 years from the date of installation for the whole system.
4. Warranty Conditions:
4.1. Eligibility To be eligible for warranty coverage, the following conditions must be met:
1. The product must have been purchased from official sales channels of SUMEC FIRMAN and must be a genuine FIRMAN brand product.
2. The product must have been installed and used according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
3. Proof of purchase (e.g., invoice or warranty card) must be provided when making a warranty claim.
4.2. Coverage:
1. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
2. Performance degradation of solar panels below 80% of the rated power output within the first 25 years.
5. Exclusions:
This warranty does not cover:
1. Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, or accidents.
2. Damage caused by the installation that’s not in accordance with the Installation Guidance.
3. Damage resulting from unauthorized modifications or repairs.
4. Damage caused by external factors such as natural disasters, electrical surges, or extreme weather conditions.
5. Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to, fading, discoloration, or cosmetic damage.
6. Warranty Claim Process:
6.1. Reporting a Claim:
To report a warranty claim, please contact the nearest SUMEC FIRMAN service center or Authorized Service Center. Provide the following information:
1. Proof of purchase (e.g., warranty card or invoice).
2. A detailed description of the issue.
3. Photographs or other evidence of the defect, if applicable.
6.2. Inspection and Assessment:
Upon receiving a warranty claim, SUMEC FIRMAN will within 72 hours:
1. Inspect the product to verify the reported issue.
2. Assess whether the issue is covered under the warranty terms.
6.3. Resolution:
If the claim is approved, SUMEC FIRMAN will, at its discretion either:
1. Repair the defective product.
2. Replace the defective product with a new or refurbished product of equivalent value and functionality.
3. Refund the purchase price if repair or replacement is not feasible. Any maintenance or replacement shall not be deemed as extension or recalculation of the warranty period.
7. Limitation of Liability:
SUMEC FIRMAN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of its products.
The total liability of SUMEC FIRMAN under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
SUMEC FIRMAN reserves the right of final explanation to the clauses above.
8. Governing Law:
This warranty policy shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
9. Amendments:
SUMEC FIRMAN reserves the right to amend this warranty policy at any time. Any amendments will be posted in the service centers and authorized service centers.
